Douglas and Woolrich teamed up with Details Magazine to celebrate the exhibition by hosting a chic cocktail event in downtown Los Angeles.

Last night we attending Douglas Kirkland's photo exhibit.
We were blown away by his amazing photography,
how sweet he was, and by his resemblance to bob barker...
wait what?

One of the most notable photogs from OUR decade 60s 70s of course

taking pictures of "2001 space odyssey," Bridgett, Liz Taylor, Marilyn...on and on..

Signing his new book of portraits...first time ever asking for anyone's autograph!

It's ok to be a fan of a fashion photog when you're a fashion stylist....

 Now on to outfits.

Bicycle Race

As we are in the middle of contemplating if we should or should not attend
a BMX event in LA this evening,
we first decided to make our own rendition of bicycles for the blog as a tribute to the local event

For some reason we think the outfits in our version
are much more chic than what we are about to see tonight...

Bathing Beauty

We're speechless.

A lower hip cut out swimsuit embelled with a bow?!

All we can say is YES YES YES!

And worn by Sharon Tate? Perfection.

I think I'll bring my old black theory sheath dress straight down to hector our tailor's and have him create this swim marvel. It has the same neckline.... now what to do with the remaining material?

 a matching neck scarf
Or headband perhaps?

What NOT to Wear

The Fashion Addicts are at home/at the beach/out of LA for the 4th and..
we got so excited for our favorite holiday that we forgot
to update the blog on what NOT to wear for tomorrow!
So here's a last minute blog update on what def not to wear on America's Big Day:

We made a certain mother stop in her tracks to take a picture of her toes..

Sky blue nail polish is a poor choice to celebrate independence day. Or anything. Ever.

hypothermia?
not so patriotic.

A red feather boustier and matching headdress might be a bit overstated.

Maybe if it was a bit more roughe colored, less coral tones..

Only goldie can. A don't for anyone else.

Hope these guidelines helped you pick out the perfect patriotic ensemble.
Time to get beauty sleep for tomorrow's big day!

L'America - - The Doors

We apologize ahead of time for our obsession with America's birthday.

With that aside, now to the important things...

Figuring out what to wear on the big day!

Looking to the past for inspiration of course
And there are Sooo many choices.

We could wear an all red number with matching red hair ties

Or pair a red number with a floppy white hat

Matching bleu and red skirts with a friend... or fellow model.

Red striped shirt, blue jeans, and matching blue boots for walking

Or maybe we should wear a blue sheet while laying on a red sheet

                                                     or something?

This picture isn't circa our fav decade but Catherine Malandrino
keeps bringing this number back.. and we like her patriotic style.

Next Up: What NOT to wear on the Fourth of July
